About

#JAXPUNX

Welcome to JaxPunx, where the past comes alive, the memories echo, and the punk spirit lives on!

Our mission is to record the punk music history of North East Florida in the form of stories told by the people who were there. We have already lost so many awesome punks from the 60s, 70s, 80s and 2000s.

We need your help to get these stories recorded. The format is two or more punks in a room swapping stories of the punk scene back in the day. We would love to come record you and your pals in person with our professional equipment but since so many are crossing over these days, we ask that you use your phone, to record your story. Send it your videos to us and we will create the episode giving you full credits. Each episode will have a page on this website with the flyers and photos from collected.

#JAXPUNX Story

It’s Our Story…

This passion project is for punks by punks. It’s our collective history patched together by the perspective and memories of each punk.

Step one, gather two or more punks in a room and set up your phone camera in the horizontal view and start recording. Make sure that you can see everyone, and put lights on the faces. Use a good microphone if you have one available. We will clean up the production. Or get on our schedule and we will come to you and bring our pro gear.
Ask and answer these basic questions below, then just tell us all the stories you can remember about the punk scene in Jacksonville, FL. Especially stories about people who have crossed over. Just like you are catching up with old friends. The format is two or more punks swapping stories. Send us photos of your old flyers and any photos you still have. Each episode will have a webpage that will show all the stuff we collect.
